Paola Demartini is Full Professor of Business Administration and Accounting at Roma Tre University and Expert peer reviewer for Italian and International Scientific Evaluation by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). She is founder and scientific responsible of the observatory “Corporate Governance Lab” (Roma Tre University – DECA) and director of the Corporate Governance and business scenarios series, Rome TrE-press. She also boasts experience in the board of directors of listed Italian organizations.
She has been prior Vice President Country Italy for the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB), and visiting professor or researcher at Pula University (Croatia), Boston University, Macquarie University and Manchester University.
She has authored over 100 scholarly publications. Her main research contributions combine accounting expertise with interests in sustainability and innovation subjects. In particular, since the beginning of its research activity, she has studied the reporting of organizations, including financial, intellectual capital, integrated, sustainability and SDGs reporting.
She is member of the Editorial Board of many international journals and, currently, she is co-Chief Editor of Piccola Impresa / Small Business, a Journal A rated by the Italian Academy of Business Administration Scholars (AIDEA). In recent years, with a view to the cross fertilization of knowledge to tackle complex research topics, she is involved in research projects on Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Culture. Currently she is member of the leading research Team engaged in an interdisciplinary European project H2020, titled: SOPHIA — Social Platform for Holistic Heritage Impact Assessment.
