The closest international airport is Bari Palese (BRI). The airport is about 50km from Matera and several options how to get there are available, such as buses, train and private shuttle services.
Some buses are connected directly from the airport, some from the main train station of Bari. To get to the main train station, there is a direct train line from the airport.
